1. Introduction.
Sage Haus, Inc. ("Sage Haus," "Company," "we," or "us") provides a variety of goods and services to help support families and households. This Privacy Policy is provided to help you understand what information we collect, how we use it, secure it, and share it, and the choices available to you in accessing, updating, and correcting your personal information. Your use of our Services (defined below) is subject to this Privacy Policy, our

This Privacy Policy applies to: (a) Sage Haus websites, including without limitation https://sagehaus.com/ (collectively, the "Website"); (b) any Sage Haus mobile application; and (c) any Sage Haus goods or services (items (a)-(c), collectively, the "Services").
We are committed to complying with applicable laws, including applicable privacy laws. As part of our compliance efforts, we have evaluated various United States state-level comprehensive privacy laws and determined that Sage Haus is not currently subject to them. If that changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy. We have also evaluated privacy laws applicable to residents of Canada and provide information on how we protect the personal information of those residents. Regardless of where you reside, we are providing you with several ways to control your personal information; these are detailed in the Your Options Section below.
Please note that the Services are not directed to, or intended for use by, people outside the U.S. or Canada: any such use is at your own risk, you acknowledge that your data will be processed in the U.S., and you are otherwise responsible for compliance with any applicable laws.Further, our Services are intended for use by adults, not individuals under age 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under age 18. If you are under 18, please do not provide any information through our Services. If we learn that we collected or received personal information from an individual under age 18, without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.

3. Information We Collect.
Sage Haus collects information as part of its business operations, to provide and improve the Services, to respond to requests, provide customer support, and to fulfill our legal and contractual obligations. The personal information we collect is never sold and is shared only as described in this Privacy Policy. You provide some of this information directly, such as when you purchase Services. We also collect information automatically through your interaction with the Services, such as our use of cookies. Finally, we obtain data from third party sources, as more fully described in this Privacy Policy.
- Visitor Information. When you visit our Website, use our mobile application, or contact us to receive information about Sage Haus and our Services, we collect certain information about you, which may include: name; email address; payment information; and IP address. We may also use surveys to solicit testimonials or other feedback that request your personal information.
- Customer Information. We collect personal information from you when you sign up for or purchase a course, certification, playbooks or other digital products, use our hiring, consulting, and/or managed services, and in connection with customer-service requests. This information includes name; email address; IP address; payment information (which will be processed by our PCI-DSS compliant service provider, currently ThriveCart); information about you and others within your household (as necessary for hiring services), and authentication information (username and password and/or unique access links). In addition, we use analytics tools to improve customer interactions and monitor the performance of our Services. The information collected from these analytics tools may include frequency, duration, and nature of a customer's use of the Services and information necessary to troubleshoot any issues reported.
- Information Specific to Phone and Video Calls. We will receive any personal information you choose to provide during phone or video calls. Please also note that we may record phone and video calls; such recordings will be used only for internal purposes, such as to improve our Services and train Sage Haus personnel. Any personal information received during calls will otherwise be subject to this Privacy Policy.
- Information Specific to Hiring Services. If you use Sage Haus for hiring Services, we will receive personal information in connection with that. The types of information we request and receive will depend on the position, but will generally include the following: name; email; phone number; address; information from our interactions with you; location; IP address; employment history and professional references; education history; and background check information, including social-security number and any information revealed in the background check process (e.g., criminal history). Please note that we generally conduct background checks only after a job offer has been extended by a prospective household/employer.
- Online Events. If we host online courses or other events that require registration, we will receive information in connection with that. That information will likely include name; email address; and IP address.
- Submitting Content. If you elect to use interactive features through our Services, such as providing feedback or testimonials, we will receive whatever information you elect to provide. Depending on the circumstances, this may include our receipt of your email address and other personal information.
- Information We Obtain from Other Sources. We may receive information about you from third-party sources, such as social networks, when you use the "Share" or "Like" functions on our Website, mobile application, or on the social networks themselves.
- Information We Collect Automatically. When you use our Services, some information is collected automatically. This information may include: IP address; access times; browser type and language; and referral website. As is common with most websites, we also collect information about your usage and activity on our Services, including pages visited and resources accessed. We may aggregate this information to better understand our users, analyze trends, and improve our Services.
- Sensitive Information. Sensitive personal information is not required to use our Services, and we do not wish to receive any such data. Sensitive personal information includes financial information, medical or health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, or information specifying the sex life or sexual orientation of an individual.
4. Cookies, Web Beacons, and Similar Tracking Technologies.As more fully disclosed through the cookie-manager tool available through our Services, Sage Haus (mostly through our advertising/marketing partners and analytics providers) uses cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to target and customize advertisements that may be displayed to you on our Services and third-party websites. We also use these technologies to analyze trends, administer the Services, track movements around the Services, and gather demographic information about our audience as a whole. We may receive reports from these tracking technologies on an individual and aggregated basis.

You can use our cookie-manager tool to opt out of all cookies our Services use except cookies necessary for Service functionality.
5. Do Not Sell, Do Not Track, and Universal Opt-Out Mechanism.Our Services do not respond to Do Not Sell or Do Not Track signals, or any global opt-out mechanism, at this time. You may, however, be able to enable certain browser or device settings to limit information that is collected about you from the Services.
6. How We Use Information. We do not sell your personal information, and we limit the use of your personal information to the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy and as set forth in our
General Terms & Conditions and any applicable Service-specific terms.
We may use your information to:
- Operate and improve our Services;
- Provide the Services that you request;
- Respond to your feedback, comments, and questions, and provide customer support;
- Contact you to request testimonials or other feedback about your experience with our Services or learn about your preferences and interests;
- Send you information related to the Services, including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages;
- Communicate with you about upcoming events and other news about products and services offered by Sage Haus;
- Collect anonymized and aggregated personal information for business purposes;
- Customize or personalize your online experience (e.g. to pre-populate forms and display relevant content);
- Contact you with newsletters and marketing or promotional materials related to our Services;
- Display targeted advertisements to you; and
- Protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.
Without limiting the foregoing, we may also use your personal information for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information and for other purposes with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
With regard to hiring Services, you acknowledge and agree that sharing your personal information is necessary to facilitate those Services. As such, we may share your personal information with (as applicable) prospective candidates, families/households, and the vendor we use to run background checks. This sharing may include name; email; phone number; address; information from our interactions with you; location; employment history and professional references; education history; and background check information, including social-security number and any information revealed in the background check process (e.g., criminal history). As noted in our
General Terms & Conditions, both candidates and families/households are obligated to keep personal information confidential.
7. When We Share Your Information. - Third-Party Service Providers. We may share your personal information with third parties for various reasons, including to effectively operate our business and deliver the Services to you. For example, as explained above, we must share certain personal information to facilitate hiring services. Third parties also support Sage Haus's Services in the areas of delivery of our digital products, such as courses (currently facilitated by membership.io), payment-processing, marketing, obtaining feedback and testimonials, finance, business administration, and computer hosting infrastructure and support, as well as those providers used by us to support our compliance with legal or regulatory requirements, such as legal and tax advisors. When we share your personal information with a third party, we require that third party to protect that information consistent with this Privacy Policy and limit use of that information to performing the services they provide to us. With regard to phone numbers we use for marketing purposes, we do not sell or share mobile numbers, SMS consent, or message data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with service providers (e.g., carriers, messaging platforms) to operate our SMS program.
- Company Successors; Insolvency. If Sage Haus is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other sale of all or a portion of its assets, any user information owned or controlled by Sage Haus may be among the assets transferred to third parties as successors in interest. As part of this type of transaction, we reserve the right to transfer or assign your personal information to third parties. Other than to the extent ordered by a bankruptcy or other court, or as you may otherwise agree, the use and disclosure of all transferred user information will be subject to this Privacy Policy. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if Sage Haus ceases operating in an insolvency situation and there is no successor to Sage Haus's rights, Sage Haus may securely delete your information as part of its liquidation process; provided that it will endeavor to provide reasonable advance notice through a message on the Website if that occurs.
- Complying with Legal Obligations. We may disclose your information to government authorities or other third parties if any lawful circumstances arise, including when: You have given us permission to share your information; We are required to do so by law, or in response to a subpoena or court order; We believe in our sole discretion that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect against fraud, or to protect our property or other rights or those of other users of the Services, third parties, or the public at large; or We believe that you have misused the Services or otherwise engaged in conduct that violates applicable laws, our General Terms & Conditions, or any applicable Service-specific terms.
- With Your Consent. There may be circumstances not covered by this Privacy Policy where we would like to share certain personal information about you. In those circumstances, we will let you know and obtain your consent.
8. How We Secure and Retain Your Information.
Sage Haus uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Sage Haus will retain your personal information where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so, such as to provide our Services or to comply with applicable legal, tax, or accounting requirements. When we no longer have an ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, where your personal information has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until it is deleted. In addition, we will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
9. Third-Party Sites and Services.Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party site, service, or product that does not display or link to this policy or that contains its own privacy policy, notice, or statement. We strongly recommend that you review the privacy policy of any website that you visit so that you can stay informed as to how your information is collected, used, and shared.
10. Your Options.We understand you want to protect and control your personal information. This Section details options you have regarding your personal information, including how you may review, update, and/or delete certain personal information.
- Opting Out of Promotional Emails and Text Messages. You may opt out of marketing or promotional emails from Sage Haus by (1) clicking the "Unsubscribe" or "Manage Subscriptions" (or similar) link in those emails or (2) emailing hello@sagehaus.com with "OPT OUT" in the subject line. Please keep in mind that you may still receive transactional and service-related emails from us, such as receipts for purchases. With regard to text messages, message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out; HELP for help.
- Customers. Depending on the Service(s) purchased, you may be able to log into a particular platform (e.g., membership.io) and manage (e.g., correct, update, etc.) your personal information. Alternatively, you may submit a request for assistance by emailing hello@sagehaus.com with "UPDATE MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION" in the subject line. Please note that there may be limits to what we may assist with because we may not be able to access third-party platforms; those third parties may also have rules regarding what can be deleted or amended.
- Other Options. In addition to the general options granted to you under this Privacy Policy, you may do the following by emailing hello@sagehaus.com: Request access, correction, deletion, or updates to your personal information; Object to our processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict processing of your personal information, or request portability of your personal information by contacting us by email at hello@sagehaus.com; and If we collect and process your personal information with your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. Please note, however, that withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing that we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect the processing of your personal information where we have relied upon an alternate legal basis for the processing of your information.
You may also submit a complaint to your local data protection authority (e.g., state attorney general) about our collection and use of your personal information.
We will respond to all personal-information-related requests that we receive in accordance with applicable law.
11. Additional Information for Canadian Residents.Residents of Canada may have certain legal rights associated with their personal data ("Personal Data") beyond the generally applicable options set forth elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. If you are a Canadian resident, this Section provides you with additional information associated with those rights.
- International Transfers. Sage Haus is headquartered in the U.S. and Personal Data will be transferred to, processed, and maintained on computer systems located in the U.S. The U.S is not currently a country the European Union has deemed "adequate" under applicable data protection laws. We may enter into data protection agreements or other legally approved mechanisms with our vendors to support compliance with applicable law, however. Specifically, we will take appropriate safeguards to require that Personal Data we process will remain protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy when transferred internationally, including when processed by third-party service providers and partners. The safeguards we will take may include one or more of the following: implementing the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, relying on a third-party service provider's lawfully approved certification and/or compliance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or Binding Corporate Rules.
- Legal Basis for Processing. We collect and use Personal Data based on our delivery of requested goods or services, legitimate business interest, or consent. More specifically, we will collect Personal Data from you: (i) where we have your consent; (ii) where we need your Personal Data to perform a contract with you; (iii) where we are a service provider for your employer or other entity contracting with Sage Haus on your behalf; (iv) where we have a legal obligation to do so; or (v) where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms (such as processing for administrative purposes, product development or improvement, preventing fraud or criminal acts, or securing information that we collect). - Onward Transfers. As noted above, we engage third-party providers to provide system infrastructure and other tools that are necessary for running our business and Services. Such third parties act in accordance with the terms of our agreements, which include appropriate data-protection provisions. These agreements require that these third parties use your Personal Data only in a manner consistent with our instructions and applicable law.
12. Updates to this Policy.
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. We will indicate the date it was last reviewed and/or updated at the top of the Privacy Policy. Your continued use of our Services after this Privacy Policy has been updated will be deemed your consent to the updated Privacy Policy.
