Sage Haus for Employers
Your benefits stop at age four. Your employees’ second shift doesn’t.
Sage Haus finds, vets and places house managers for working parents and caregivers. We run the whole search, so your people get their evenings back and show up fully at work.

The problem
The workday ends at 5. School ends at 3.
Caregiving touches about 80% of the workforce, and 70% of working parents end up handling family logistics during work hours. The cost lands on you: your highest earners are twice as likely to leave over a caregiving conflict, and replacing them can cost a full year’s salary.

The gap
Most family benefits end where the hardest years begin.
Fertility, pregnancy, parental leave, infant care. Employers have built real support for the first years. Then a child turns four, and the help stops. School-age kids bring short days, closures, sick days and a full activity calendar. Many of the same employees are also caring for aging parents. Today, they solve it alone: a nanny here, a cleaner there, a marketplace app, and a spreadsheet in their head holding it together.

One person who owns the list.
School runs and activity shuttles. Meal planning and weeknight dinners. Laundry, errands, appointments and repairs. Backup care on sick days and school closures. Check-ins for aging parents. And the home systems that keep it all running, so none of it lives in your employee’s head.

Built for the people you can’t afford to lose.
Physicians on 24-hour shifts. Attorneys heading into trial. Executives who travel. Founders, consultants and newly promoted managers. Single parents. Anyone carrying a full career and a full household at the same time.

Questions benefits leaders ask
The practical details
Who employs the house manager?+
Your employee does. Sage Haus runs the search and placement; the employee hires their house manager directly and manages the day-to-day relationship. Your company sponsors the search, not the employment. Employment type depends on the role and the state or province.
How do you keep employees safe?+
Every finalist goes through structured interviews, reference checks and a background check before your employee meets them. We accept the top 5% of candidates, and a dedicated hiring specialist stays with the family through the first 90 days.
What happens if the placement doesn't work out?+
If the house manager leaves within the first 90 days for any reason, we find a replacement at no extra cost to the employee or to you.
How long does a search take?+
Most families meet vetted finalists within a few weeks of their intake call. We'll walk through expected timelines for your locations on our first call.
Does it work outside major cities?+
Yes. Two in three of our 2026 placements were outside big-city cores, including small towns and rural communities in 44 states, DC and Canada.
Who pays the house manager's wages?+
The employee pays their house manager directly. Part-time family assistants typically earn $25–45 an hour and house managers $30–50 an hour, depending on location and scope. The program covers the search and placement.
Is this only for parents?+
No. Employees caring for aging parents, single professionals with demanding schedules, and households with multiple properties all use Sage Haus. Eligibility is up to you.
What data do you share with us?+
Aggregate program data only: enrollments, placements, time to placement and satisfaction scores. We never share household details or anything an employee tells us in intake without their consent.
