Women Turn to Coaches and A.I. to Help Relieve the Mental Weight of Household Duties

By Lizzie Mettler

Air Mail looked at why so many millennial women are still carrying the mental load at home: a generation raised on girl power learned to do everything men do, while the work at home stayed exactly where it was. The piece features Sage Haus founder and CEO Kelly Hubbell, a mom of three who was spending more than 20 hours a week running her household on top of a full-time job in software sales. That's what led her to build Sage Haus, which helps families hand off the work of running a home.

Kelly sees dads making real progress, but says expectations on parents keep growing. “Parenting norms have grown to an unrealistic ideal,” she told Air Mail. “On top of that, so many millennials live far from their family and don't have a village to support them.”
